    TRESemme Commercial Shoot

10 May 2011 in Camera Assist & Commercial & Uncategorized

Things have been non stop busy, but they are slowing down now.  I’m going to take the time to catch up on a bunch of blog posts during this break =)   Back in March, VigilanteHD had the opportunity of putting together an all star camera crew for a TRESemme commercial produced by the Jacks Firm.  It was a wonderful opportunity and great working with everyone on this project.  Really excited to see the final product!  Great working with shooters...

    5 Commercials 1 Short film

14 Mar 2011 in Camera Assist & Commercial & Short Film

After our Cheapcaribbean.com spot, things got a little crazy! We managed to get book solid through the rest of February on commercials, promos, web spots and a short film. Started off working with 24dp on two spots, one for a funeral home, and other for Gillette. The Gillette shoot was very interesting as we did an HDR timelapse of a building being painted. Multiple cameras some getting reactions, some doing motion controlled HDR timelapse. Very cool stuff. Using Canon EOS...

    La Tavola Trattoria Web Spot

    10 Mar 2011 in Commercial

Over the winter Vigilante HD has been busy!  In part of our campaign to bring high quality production value to small business owners, we created this web spot for the wonderful Italian restaurant La Tavola Trattoria in Sayville, NY. In addition to the video we also supplied some marketing techniques for La Tavola to help bring in some new clients using web video.  Send us an email for more information! Check it out!

    CheapCaribbean.com Spot

    23 Feb 2011 in Commercial

Another spot for a Poptent competition in the bag!  This one was for the good people over at cheapcaribbean.com This shoot went very well, we finished early!  We had a lot of great takes and tons of options to work with.  I think everyone’s hard work will really shine in the edit.  Special thanks to our two very patient actors who kept things lively and new, even at take 30 and beyond! Final video link will be posted soon, in...

    Google Nexus One

    16 Feb 2011 in Commercial

Worked on a pretty cool promo shoot the other day for Google Nexus One cell phone.  Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to play with it, even though I’m a huge fan of google products =)  Great shoot as far as I’m concerned.  We used the Probe II system from Innovision.  We used the lens system to have some greater control of the product shots as the phone was being operated by a pair of hands.  Probe II system is...

    Netflix Noir 30s Spot

    29 Jan 2011 in Commercial

Last weekend we shot a 30second semi-period piece spot for Netflix.  Our goal was to get a film noir type feel and storyline within a low budget 30 second spot.   We had around a week of prepro, one shooting day, and a week of post. All in all I am very happy with this spot and a special thanks goes out to everyone involved for their patience during a long day with some long company moves! We shot on...

    Lloyd Banks ft. Jeremih

16 Jan 2011 in Camera Assist & Music Videos

In the final days of 2010 and the first few of 2011, we were in downtown NYC working on the music video for the hit new song Don’t Deserve You by Lloyd Banks feat Jeremih.  This two day shoot almost didn’t happen because of the snowfall on 12/26.  Fortunately, despite the setbacks, the shoot was a success and I think we got some really awesome footage.  DP Matt Workman used Hawk Anamorphics which were pretty awesome, and honestly a lot...

    Kaplan Smart Track

12 Jan 2011 in Camera Assist & Commercial

Just before Christmas we worked on a network spots for Kaplan Smart Track, educational software.  Production company 24dp brought Vigilante HD on board for camera assist as well as location services at our 10,000 sq. ft shooting house.  Even though we had some poor weather and it was raining like crazy, the 18k made our interior shots look beautiful!  And thankfully we were able to get our exterior shots when it wasn’t raining.  Working with 24dp is always a lot...

    Yoostar 2 Promo

14 Dec 2010 in Camera Assist & Commercial

Mixing work with play is always a good time, and I got to do just that early Thanksgiving week!  This spot was for the video game Yoostar 2, a game that takes a video of you acting out a scene of a popular movie, then puts your image into that scene of the movie.  Kind of like movie karoake.  Cinematographer Mike Simpson on the scene with a bunch of HMIs, and rocking out on a 5D with some Canon AF...

    Eyes of a Blue Dog

02 Dec 2010 in Commercial & Short Film & Uncategorized

Promotional shoot for the Eyes of a Blue Dog dance company.  This was a lot of fun, and all of the girls were really great to work with.  Lighting was difficult on this one, as we had limited lights and rooms with some huge windows. The sun was pouring in! We slowed down some of the sun and I think we were able to mix the color temperatures to give it a more dramatic look. We shot a real variety...
